Programming - An intriguing pursuit with computers, creativity with reason and logic. I do a lot of work in PHP, it's my first language, and probably my "mother tongue", if you will. I've had experience in a plethora of other procedural and declarative languages (from C to SQL), I'm concentrating mainly on Java at the moment. I like Perl. I like markup languages. I like scripting languages (csh and bash for example). I like a lot of things about computers. Standing on the shoulders of giants (no platitude intended).

Music - Since I started playing music live again, I've been enlightened as to the unique buzz you can only get from gigging. My musical interests range from Chillout, through Electronic breakbeats, Progressive Organ Music, ending up somewhere at Reggae fusion. Although I like Rock (and the band I'm in plays rockpop), I've transcended most of the mainstream rubbish and am an avid fan of the post-hardcore underground. Unfortunately, that stuff isn't too popular over here, so there's no chance of me hearing it in a good environment. In fact the only music I don't have preference for is over-commercialized R&B, and in-your-face Drum and Bass. Other than that I'm up for anything.

Philosophy - While my university major is in Computer Science, I have a vested interest in deconstructing any given notion about existence. I studied philosophy as a sixth former, finding an interest in synthesizing branches of epistemology and empiricism. I have several areas I'd like to do dissertations on, I just need to find the time to get started.
